The next Conference of Scottish Local Dental Committees will be held on Friday 22 April 2022 at the Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling.

For your reference, please see below a reminder of the processes and deadlines for LDC’s submitting their paperwork via the new Conference website - https://scot-ldc.co.uk/ .



Delegates

· In line with paragraph 3 of the Conference Standing Orders, your LDC is eligible to send 4 delegates to Conference.

· Please submit the details of your delegates by completing this form on the Conference website.

· LDCs can submit one form for all of their delegates attending the Conference. There is a “+” icon at the bottom of the form which allows multiple delegates to be added to one list.

· The deadline for delegate submissions is Friday 4 March 2022.



Accommodation

Overnight accommodation should be booked direct through the Stirling Court Hotel, Tel: 01786 466000
Quote the BDA Reference: 245542 and the agreed rate is £85.00 per person per night, bed and breakfast.
The number of rooms reserved exclusively for the BDA is limited, therefore, to ensure your overnight stay we advise delegates book their accommodation as early as possible and at the latest by Friday 28 January 2022.

Pre-Conference Dinner

A black-tie dinner will be held on Thursday 21 April 2022 at the Stirling Court Hotel, at a cost of £43.00 per delegate.
Please submit the details of the delegates wishing to attend the dinner by completing this form on the Conference website.
Individuals can submit their own form, or one form can be completed for all delegates. To do this, input that you require more than one ticket, and a drop-down box will appear to add in the details of the other guests. Once the form has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with details of how to pay by BACS transfer or cheque.
The deadline for Pre-Conference Dinner form submissions is Friday 4 March 2022.


Motions

If there are any major topics your LDC wish to debate or are causing concern to GDPs, please submit them in the form of a motion for inclusion in the agenda.
Motions should be unambiguous and make a clear point or specific call for action. If you would like to refer to examples of motions submitted at past Conferences, please click here. Motions that are not worded and printed clearly will be sent back to the LDC for clarification. The Conference Agenda Committee may also wish to make certain changes to a motion before it is accepted. Taking care to print motions clearly, paying attention to spelling and punctuation, will make this process run more smoothly and to a tight timetable. The deadline for submitting motions is Friday 4 March 2022.


Office Bearer Elections

We would be grateful if your LDC would consider putting forward nomination(s) for the following office bearer positions:
Two Members of the Conference Agenda Committee
One Representative to the Scottish Dental Practice Committee (SDPC)
Two Representatives to the Board of Management of the Scottish Dental Fund (SDF)
Two Auditors of Conference
Three Representatives to the UK LDC Conference
Nominations can be submitted by completing this form on the Conference website. Here you will also find further information about each role.
The deadline is Friday 4 March 2022. Please note that nominations can also be accepted from the floor on the day of the Conference.


Conference Levy

The Conference Treasurer, Dr Elizabeth Glass, will write to individual LDC Treasurers directly to request payment of the levy, as well as providing information regarding what payments can be claimed from Conference.
